Apple has just sent out invitations to a special media event on Apple's campus that will focus on the Mac. The event will take place on October 20 at 10am Pacific Time at Apple's Town Hall building, and Apple says that it will include "a sneak peek of the next major version of Mac OS X."
There have long been rumors that Apple is preparing to give the public a look at Mac OS X 10.7, though it didn't make an appearance at WWDC 2010 as some expected. On top of Mac OS X, Apple watchers have been waiting for a new MacBook Air for quite some time now, along with a bump to the rest of the MacBook line.
