Girl, 17, allegedly raped near Ben Avigdor street in TA

After she was denied entrance to a night club, a 19-year-old Ramle resident took her to a nearby parking lot, beat and raped her.

A 19-year-old Ramle resident was arrested by Tel Aviv police on Friday, on suspicion of raping a 17-year-old girl near Ben Avigdor street in the southern part of the city during the early morning hours.
The victim, a resident of Kiryat Malachi, told police that she arrived at a night club with friends but did not pass the selection and was not admitted due to her young age.

The suspect, who noticed that the girl was not admitted, approached and threatened her, then took her to a nearby parking lot where he allegedly undressed, beat and raped her. The girl called a nearby pedestrian for help but was ignored.
Police who were in the area, noticed the girl's distress, and approached her. She pointed out the suspect and he was arrested. From the initial investigations by police, it appeared that the suspect was inebriated. The suspect connected himself to the incident, but claimed that he did not rape the girl. Due to the girl's condition, police were insistent on extracting a full testimony.
The suspect will be brought to court for trial later on Friday.
