"vxdctl -c mode"--cluster inactive problem.

i am using Solaris 8 with Volume manager 3.5 & Sun Cluster 3.0.
after installing all thing, when i put --
#vxdctl -c mode
mode:enabled:cluster inactive

i find a solution is to run--
#opt/VRTSvcs/bin/hastatus -sum

but problem is that i haven't any VRTsvcs package. so how can i get VRTSvcs package. or if u have any other solution please inform me.

VRTSvcs is a Veritas package, where you are dealing with Sun Cluster. I think what you are wanting is more along the lines of:

vxclustadm -m <cluster monitor> startnode

As always, RTM is a good idea. See what the manpage for vxclustadm says.

Thanks,

Keith

#vxclustadm -m vcs startnode

i am using Veritus Manager 3.5.

So this is a new system setup, you hadn't a running cluster? What does the following command show?

pkginfo | grep VRTS

Thanks,

i already run the cluster. when i shutdown the active node, all the DiskGroup are switched from active node to another node.
